Lymphatic Body Brushing (Dry Brushing)

Our lymphatic system plays a key role in our immune system. It's responsible for the removal of toxins and waste, transports white blood cells to and from lymph nodes, helps maintain fluid balance and helps with the absorption of fats and fat soluble nutrients.
Unlike the circulatory system, the lymphatic system lacks a pump. It relies on movement such as muscle contraction (exercise, stretching, yoga, qi gong), diaphragmatic breathing and manual manipulation to move lymph through the body. Lymphatic body brushing is a technique we can use to stimulate the lymphatic system to move the lymph. Dry body brushing is easy to incorporate as part of a daily regimen, only takes a few minutes to perform and has a profound effect on the body's role of detoxification.
